Terms of service

Plain-language terms for everyone using ANORA Assist. By creating an account, booking help or offering services, you agree to these terms.

Last updated August 2026

1. What ANORA is

ANORA Assist is an online marketplace based in Metro Detroit, Michigan. We introduce people who need short-term help to independent providers who offer it, and we process payment for those bookings.

ANORA is not a party to the work. We are not an employer, staffing agency, contractor, caregiver, home-care agency or transportation provider. Providers are independent and choose their own clients, prices, schedules and methods.

2. Age requirements

  • You must be 18 or older to create an ANORA account, book help or offer services.
  • Providers must be legally allowed to work in the United States and to perform the service offered.
  • Services for someone under 18 (childcare, tutoring, rides for a minor) must be booked and supervised by that child's parent or legal guardian, who holds the account.
  • We remove any account we believe belongs to a minor.

3. What we do and don't guarantee

We do:

  • Require a government-issued photo ID before any verification badge is granted.
  • Manually review every document a provider submits before showing a badge.
  • Require documentation for higher-risk service categories.
  • Restrict reviews to customers who completed a paid booking.
  • Investigate reports and suspend or remove accounts.

We do not:

  • Guarantee the quality, safety, legality, timeliness or outcome of any service.
  • Guarantee that any user is who they say they are, or that a background check is complete or current.
  • Supervise, insure, train or control providers or customers.
  • Guarantee that a booking will be accepted, completed, or that anyone will show up.

You use ANORA at your own risk and are responsible for your own actions, decisions and safety. See the safety center for exactly what a verified badge means.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate information about yourself, your skills, credentials and what you need.
  • Hold any license, certification, insurance or permit your service legally requires.
  • Follow all applicable laws and report your own income and taxes as an independent provider.
  • Treat other people with respect. No harassment, discrimination, threats, weapons or illegal activity.
  • Keep payments on ANORA. Taking an introduced booking off-platform to avoid fees can end your account.
  • Never submit someone else's ID or an altered document. This results in permanent removal.

5. Payments and fees

Prices are set in US dollars by the provider. ANORA keeps a 10% marketplace fee out of the service price, so the customer pays exactly the listed amount. Card payments are processed by Stripe; ANORA never stores your full card details. Cancellations and refunds are covered in the cancellation & refund policy.

6. Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove any account, with or without notice, for unsafe behavior, fraud, misrepresented credentials, harassment, repeated cancellations, off-platform payment for introduced work, or any breach of these terms.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by Michigan and federal law, ANORA Assist is not liable for injury, loss, property damage, theft, delay or any indirect or consequential damages arising from a booking, a user's conduct, or content posted on the platform. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the ANORA fees you paid on the booking in question. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties.

You agree to resolve disputes with another user directly with that user; ANORA may assist but is not obligated to. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Questions: contact@anoraassist.com.
