Cancellations & refunds

No surprises. This is exactly what happens to your money when a booking changes, and how ANORA handles disputes.

How payment works, step by step

  1. You pay when you book. Your card is charged the listed price in US dollars through Stripe.
  2. ANORA holds the payout. The provider does not receive the money at booking time.
  3. The job happens. Either side marks the booking completed in “Your bookings.”
  4. The payout is released to the provider — the service price minus ANORA's 10% fee — once the booking is completed and the 7-day dispute window has passed without an issue being raised.
  5. You can review the provider after a completed booking.

If the customer cancels

  • More than 24 hours before the scheduled time: 100% refunded, including the ANORA fee.
  • Within 24 hours: up to 50% may be kept for the provider's reserved time; the rest is refunded.
  • No-show or cancellation after the start time: not refundable.
  • No scheduled date on the booking: full refund any time before work begins.

If the provider cancels or doesn't show

You receive a 100% refund, including the ANORA fee, and we help you find someone else. Repeated cancellations lead to suspension.

If the work wasn't done, or wasn't what was agreed

Email contact@anoraassist.com within 7 days of the booking with the booking name, date and what happened. We hold the payout while we review, ask both sides for their account, and decide within about 5 business days. Outcomes can be a full refund, a partial refund, or release of the payout to the provider. Our decision on the ANORA fee is final; you keep every legal right you have outside the platform.

Refund timing and safety cancellations

Approved refunds are issued to the original card and typically appear in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

You are never penalized for leaving an unsafe situation. If you cancel because you felt unsafe, tell us — we refund you in full and review the other account. See the safety center.

Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank — we can usually resolve it faster. Filing a chargeback on work that was actually delivered may result in account removal.
