Privacy policy

We ask for identity documents to keep ANORA safe, so we're specific about what we hold, who can open it, and when it's deleted.

What we collect

  • Account: name, email, account type, city/area, profile photo, bio.
  • Provider details: skills, experience, rates, availability, listings and job posts.
  • Verification: the pass/fail result of your Stripe Identity check (ANORA does not receive the ID image itself), plus any certificates, licenses, insurance or background-check reports you choose to upload and your attestation timestamp.
  • Activity: bookings, messages, reviews, favorites, reports.
  • Payments: booking amounts and Stripe reference IDs. Card numbers go directly to Stripe — ANORA never sees or stores them.

How identity checks and documents are handled

Identity is verified by Stripe Identity, not by ANORA. When you verify your identity you are sent to Stripe, which captures your government ID and a selfie, checks that the document is authentic and that the face matches, and stores that document under Stripe's own privacy terms. ANORA receives only the outcome — verified, needs another attempt, or canceled. We never see, download or store the ID image.

Documents you separately choose to upload — certificates, licenses, insurance, background-check reports:

  • Documents are stored in a private, encrypted storage bucket — never in a public folder or URL.
  • Only two parties can open a document: you, and the small ANORA review team. Other users, including people you book with, can never see it. Row-level security enforces this at the database, not just in the app.
  • Links to documents are short-lived and expire within minutes; there is no permanent public link to your ID.
  • Retention. Once a submission has been reviewed we keep only what proves the check happened — the badge, the document type, issuer and dates. Uploaded images are deleted within 30 days of a completed review, and immediately on request, unless we're legally required to keep them for an open safety or fraud investigation.
  • We never sell verification data, and we do not use your ID for advertising or profiling.
  • You can ask us to delete any uploaded document at any time by emailing contact@anoraassist.com; deleting it removes the related badge.

What other people can see

  • Public (only if you turn your profile on): name, photo, city or service area, bio, skills, listings, verified badges, ratings and reviews, completed job count.
  • Never public: your email address, ID and documents, license or reference numbers, messages, bookings, reports you file, and payment details.
  • Profiles are private by default. You choose when to become discoverable.

Who we share with

Only service providers who make ANORA work: our hosting and database provider, and Stripe for payments. We also disclose information when the law requires it, or when we believe it's necessary to prevent serious harm to someone. We do not sell your personal information.

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile at any time, request a copy of your data, ask us to delete your documents or your whole account, and object to any specific use. Email contact@anoraassist.com and we respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your profile and documents; we keep minimal booking and payment records where tax or fraud rules require it.

Security and children

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-restricted, and admin access is limited to the review team. No system is perfect — if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you.

ANORA is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; see the age requirements.
